Track B: Risk Trends
Track C: Evolving IA Mindset
The need for digital resilience in an organization arises from the increasing reliance on technology and digital systems in today's business environment. These systems are essential for the functioning of the organization and are used for a variety of critical activities such as data storage, financial transactions, and communication.
However, these systems are also vulnerable to a variety of risks, including technology failures, human failures, cyber-attacks, frauds, and natural and man-made disasters. These risks can have a significant impact on the organization, including financial loss, damage to reputation, and loss of critical data.
Digital resilience refers to an organization's ability to withstand and recover from disruptions caused by technology failures or cyber-attacks. In today's increasingly digital business environment, it is essential for organizations to have a robust digital resilience strategy in place.
Internal audit plays a critical role in ensuring digital resilience within an organization. The traditional role of internal audit has been to provide assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations. However, with the increasing reliance on technology and digital systems, internal audit must adapt to ensure that it is providing assurance on the resilience of these systems as well.
This Conference has been specially designed for Internal auditors and risk managers who wish to develop internal audit strategies that will encourage innovation in the organization as well as the internal audit function, eventually leading to a more scalable and sustainable digital transformation of the business and the internal audit function.
The Institute of Internal Auditors is the only global professional association devoted entirely to the Internal Audit profession which has footprints in around 170 countries around the world with more than 200,000 members.
