Abhishek eclipses Shabbir to win Title

Reigning State Champion Abhishek Dhudasiya defeated Shabbir Dhankot and Parthiban J, in the Finals of the Tamil Nadu State Ranking Tenpin Bowling League which concluded at DU Bowl, Egmore, Chennai. The final of the month-long league was played in the three-sided knockout format where Abhishek defeated both Shabbir and Parthiban in a two-game cumulative pinfall match.

In the Finals played based on the cumulative pinfall of two games, Abhishek, Parthiban and Shabbir competed amongst each other after having won their respective knockout semis. Game 1 ended with a very negligible margin of 13 pins separating the three bowlers. Abhishek scored 216 as against 203 scored by Shabbir and 202 scored by Parthiban. Abhishek shocked the field by scoring a 259 in Game 2 which eventually helped him in eclipsing Shabbir who finished his Game 2 with a score of 204 and thereby defeating him with a pinfall difference of 68 pins. Shabbir had to settle up for the 2nd spot and Parthiban who finished his Game 2 with pinfall of 192 settled for the third position.

Abhishek stayed consistent throughout the league and finished with a cumulative pinfall of 4781 in 24 games played over the last three weeks.
