I want a place for myself in Tamil cinema Actress Tanmai Kushi ready to make her mark from the Telugu industry!
Last year, the Telugu film *23* (also known as *Iravai Moodu*) achieved great success; it was based on true events that took place in Andhra Pradesh.
The film’s backdrop drew upon tragic real-life incidents, including the 1991 Tsunduru massacre, the 1993 Chilakaluripet bus burning incident, and the 1997 Hyderabad car bomb blast.
Directed by Raj Rachakonda, the film begins as a love story featuring Teja as the male lead (playing the character 'Sagar'). Debutant actress Tanmai Kushi played his love interest, 'Susheela'. Despite being a newcomer, she shone by effectively utilizing various acting opportunities, earning praise from critics. Having won the appreciation and acceptance of fans through this single film, she is currently working on two Telugu projects. Furthermore, she is keen to act in Tamil films as well.
Speaking about this, actress Tanmai Kushi said:
"Cinema is a commercial world, but I have no desire to play the typical 'commercial heroine.' I want to act in family-oriented stories and roles with substance. Many female-centric films are being made in Tamil, and I am ready to act in such Tamil films that prioritize family values and character depth." With this sentiment, Tanmai Kushi expressed her earnest desire to find a place for herself in Tamil cinema.
